Spatial Econometrics: Theory and Applications. Health Economics , Encyclopedia of Health Economics, Elsevier.
Abstract:
This article reviews econometric methods for linear panel data that exhibit spatial dependence. It first provides a survey of models and estimators as proposed by the econometric literature to deal with local interdependence in panels. The article then illustrates the application of spatial econometric methods to tackle problems in the area of health economics.
