The clustering event will provide the participants of any background with a framework of the most common methodologies applied in economic evaluation processes, aiming to help them to understand the logic and objective usually followed by economists in evaluation attempts of European projects, with a particular focus on Citizen Science projects.
The aim of the clustering event is to share know-how, best practices, success examples and issues in applying such methodologies to these innovative projects. Initially, a more theoretical exposition will introduce the participants to the methods and the respective strengths and weaknesses, in a more generic context. Subsequently, real-world examples will be provided and discussed to highlight how the methods were implemented successfully and not, to draw valuable lessons from the practice. Finally, a recap of the previous points will be done, followed by considerations about the implementation and estimation methods that still remain to be clearly answered in order to provide for better and more correct evaluations.
