The Department of the Treasury – MEF, MTS S.p.A. and CRIEP (Centro di Ricerca Interuniversitario sull’Economia Pubblica) will publish the Annual Report regarding the liquidity of the secondary market of Italian government bonds, aimed at providing structured and continuous information about the functioning of this market. This is particularly useful to analyse and monitor the efficiency and ability to assure proper liquidity.
During the Congress the first edition of the 2022 Report will be provided, ensuring references to past years. With respect to the Eurozone, government bonds had a fundamental role in recent financial transactions, which have been influenced by the last years’ phenomena: the COVID-19 pandemic, the growing inflation and the war conflicts.
Following the institutional greetings, Professor Mario Anolli will hold the keynote lecture “L’importanza di un mercato secondario efficiente dei titoli di Stato in una fase di cambiamento della finanza e dell’economia”. (“The importance of an efficient secondary market for government bonds in a changing financial and economic landscape”)
