In 1973, the Municipality of Padua, the Province of Padua, the Chamber of Commerce and State Railways established Società Interporto Merci Padova S.p.A, aiming at developing a sustainable transport system connecting the city to the major national and international ports.
On July 3rd, at Aula Magna of Palazzo Bo, the 50th anniversary of the activity of Interporto will be celebrated. Interporto is recognized as one of the most advanced intermodal Italian platforms serving both businesses and the territory, according to criteria of low environmental impact.
After institutional greetings, the scientific paper “Innovation and Sustainability: the keys to success” will be presented by:

Following, the round table discussion on “Ports and Interports, the challenge of intermodality“, moderated by Massimo De Donato (Radio24) with the presence of Zeno D’Agostino (President of the Port System Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea), Fulvio Lino Di Blasio (President of the Port System Authority of the Northern Adriatic Sea), Sabrina De Filippis (CEO of Mercitalia Logistics), Roberto Tosetto (General Manager of Interporto Padova) and Elisa De Berti (Vice-President of the Veneto Region) will take place.
To conclude, there will be the inauguration of the new photovoltaic system with the presence Luca Zaia (President of Veneto Region) and Gilberto Pichetto Fratin (Ministry of the Environment and Energy Safety)
